To meet our objectives we have outlined two different work streams: Schools-Primary & Secondary and Community - weekly Youth Group, Detached work and Events. For each area of work we hope to achieve our objectives which also incorporates the agenda of Every Child Matters.
Through our different programmes in 2010 we delivered 191 sessions reaching 762 children, a significant 27 % increase in the number of young people engaged compared to 2009. We also took young people on 12 trips.
The work of our diffrent projects has contributed to the development of the young people taking part and the community and wider society by improving behaviour at schools and in the community. It contributes to safer neighbourhoods and reduced crime, and most importantly increases the capacity of self-belief, confidence and motivation in each child and young person to build a bright future through education and the best use of skills to break long life cycles of benefits dependency, unemployment and involvement in crime activities.
