Primary Schools

"Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them" James Baldwin

Street Level has had a consistent presence in local primary schools in the Hoxton area for a number of years.

We deliver group work around behaviour and social and emotional development. Our work is aimed at Year 4 and Year 6 students. Through our work we have reached success in helping children to deal with complex attitudes and difficult behaviour at the school, guiding them in the best way possible to cope with those emotions.

This is what our young people said after taking part of our different programmes:

"I will work harder in my responses to teachers and make my attitude more positive"

"I learned to listen to other people talk about their views"

"I got the chance to say my own point of view and I will be better at communicating with people and what they have to say"

Some feedback from the schools:

‘Student has shown increase in participation at school, coming up with own ideas at school’

‘Student has shown awareness of attitude and consequences of behaviour’
